EU Legal Warranty - Your Rights

2-Year EU Legal Warranty

Under EU Directive 2019/771, all products sold to consumers come with a minimum 2-year legal warranty covering conformity defects. This is your legal right and applies to all purchases from Homelyf SRL.

What's Covered Under EU Law

  • Products that don't match the description or advertised features
  • Manufacturing defects and material flaws
  • Products that fail to work as expected under normal use
  • Items that develop faults within the warranty period
  • Non-conformity present at the time of delivery

Your Consumer Rights

  • First 12 months: Presumption that any defect was present at delivery
  • Months 12-24: You may need to prove the defect was present at delivery
  • Remedy options: Repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund
  • No cost to you: Warranty service is completely free

Important Note

The EU legal warranty is separate from and additional to any manufacturer warranties. You can choose which warranty to use for your claim.

What's NOT Covered

Normal Wear and Tear

  • Gradual deterioration from regular use
  • Fading, scratches, or marks from normal handling
  • Battery degradation in electronic devices
  • Normal aging of materials and finishes

Misuse and Damage

  • Damage from accidents, drops, or impacts
  • Water damage or exposure to moisture
  • Modifications or unauthorized repairs
  • Use contrary to product instructions

Consumable Parts

  • Filters, bulbs, and batteries
  • Ink cartridges and toner
  • Detachable accessories and cables
  • Items with limited lifespan by design

Important Exceptions

Even if damage appears to be from misuse, if it occurs within the first 6 months, we'll investigate whether it could be due to a manufacturing defect covered under warranty.

How to Claim Warranty

Report the Issue

Contact us with your order number and a detailed description of the problem. Include photos or videos if possible.

Initial Assessment

Our technical team will review your case and may request additional information or ask you to try basic troubleshooting steps.

Return Authorization

If needed, we'll provide a return authorization number and prepaid shipping label. Pack the item securely with all accessories.

Inspection & Resolution

Our technicians will inspect the item and determine the appropriate remedy: repair, replacement, or refund.

Resolution Delivery

Receive your repaired item, replacement, or refund. All warranty service is completely free including shipping both ways.

EU Consumer Protection Timeline

Under EU law, we must resolve warranty claims within a "reasonable time" and without significant inconvenience to you. Our target is to resolve 90% of claims within 14 days.

Extended Warranty Purchase Window

Extended warranty plans must be purchased within 30 days of your original order. They cannot be added later.
